Ex Display Tumble and Hide Large Leather Wallet

An ex-display item from our exhibition unit. The use of the wallet is unaffected but it has some small marks from handling and is missing it's box - please see images. WAS £60 - Now £45.

A traditional full size,jacket or breast pocket wallet made from a sturdy, vegetable tanned italian leather.

This substantial, large format wallet by Tumble and Hide has 5 credit card slots, ample note sections, a full width zip pocket plus an extra large pocket with a loop fastener.  An ID window is provided for displaying passes etc. and there are multiple slip pockets for further storage.  This traditional style has a large capacity and is made to fit into a coat or jacket pocket.  Initially quite firm, the leather ages and wears to a soft patinated finish whilst retaining it's strength and durability.  This item is packaged in an attractive gift box.

The wallet comes with certification of the 'Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana conciata al Vegetale' - a guarantee of the authenticity and origin of the leather.

Vegetable tanning is a tradition that members of the Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium have practised for over 200 years, - these days using both antique recipes and state-of-the-art technology.
The transformation from raw hides into a durable material is a slow process that takes place in wooden drums using natural tannins extracted from chestnut or Argentinean quebracho trees. Despite modern technologies and machines nearly forty days are needed to transform raw hides into unique vegetable-tanned leathers.
The result is a material that ages without spoiling or compromising its durabilty and that gains a vintage feel with the warm colour shades and patina of a natural product.
